On 30 April 2026, Alternativi International organized a local workshop in Petrich, Bulgaria, bringing together 20 students to explore innovative approaches to peacebuilding, empathy, and conflict resolution through the Erasmus+ project “InnovatorsLab: Gen Z’s Game-Based Peacebuilding.”
During the interactive session, participants were introduced to several of the project's key educational resources, including the InnovatorsLab E-learning Platform, the Empathy Cards, and the project's peacebuilding methodologies designed specifically for Generation Z.
Through discussions, reflection exercises, and practical activities, the students explored topics such as empathy, communication, active listening, and understanding different perspectives. The workshop encouraged participants to reflect on the importance of dialogue and cooperation in addressing conflicts and building stronger communities.
The event also provided an opportunity to gather valuable feedback from young people regarding the project's educational tools and their relevance for today's youth. Participants showed strong interest in interactive learning methods and highlighted the importance of creating safe spaces where young people can openly discuss social challenges and develop essential life skills.
By engaging directly with young people, the InnovatorsLab project continues to develop innovative educational resources that make peacebuilding more accessible, engaging, and meaningful for Generation Z.
